About
Hi! My name is Philipp Glira and I’m a scientist at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT).
More specifically I’m part of the group for Assistive & Autonomous Systems within the Center for Vision, Automation & Control.
Besides this site, my scientific activities can be followed here:
My research fields are mainly:
- Robotics
- Lidar
- Photogrammetry
- Machine Learning / AI
- Computer Vision
whereby I use these sensor types the most:
- Lidar
- Camera
- Imaging radar
- GNSS/IMU
These days I mostly code in:
- C++
- Python
- Matlab/Octave
- Bash
Technologies and tools that I use are:
See my for an overview about the main programs that I use.
And finally my research interests are:
- Least squares adjustments
- Lidar strip adjustment (LSA)
- Bundle block adjustment (BBA)
- Integration of LSA and BBA
- Factor-Graphs and Kalman filtering
- Multi-sensor SLAM
- Sensor calibration
- Point cloud registration, e.g. ICP
- 3D mapping of the environment
